- Conference Explores Corrosion Prevention as a Policy and Planning Priority
From December 3-7, 2007, corrosion experts and DoD officials will speak about the challenges of integrating corrosion control into the DoD culture at the Tri-Service Corrosion Conference. This year’s conference theme is "Integrating Corrosion Prevention and Control in Policy, Planning, and Programming." Michael W. The DoD Corrosion Policy and Oversight Office is producing a new video on the science of corrosion. Aimed at Congressional officials and the general public, the video is a follow-on to the DoD’s first public outreach video In Focus: The War on Corrosion. - New Materials Selection Handbook Highlights DoD Corrosion Issues
AMMTIAC, a DoD Information Analysis Center, has released Spiral 2 of its handbook, Corrosion Prevention and Control: A Program Management Guide for Selecting Materials. The new guide includes fundamentals on causes and effects of corrosion for DoD acquisition personnel. (Read More...)
